Nathan attended Colorado State University, where he initially studied Equine Science before earning his bachelor’s degree in Communications with a minor in Agricultural Literacy. During his time at CSU, he met his wife, Hannah, and continued developing his knowledge of the agricultural and equestrian industries. His involvement in the equestrian community also includes previously serving on the steering committee for the Douglas County 4-H Horse Project, supporting youth involvement and education within the local horse community.
Following graduation, Nathan continued his career in agriculture, working directly in ranch operations before becoming the Manager of Beef Sales and Marketing for a family-owned regenerative cattle operation. This experience strengthened his understanding of agricultural properties, sustainable land management, livestock operations, and the unique considerations that come with owning and maintaining working land.
Nathan’s transition into real estate was a natural extension of his agricultural background and passion for the equestrian lifestyle. Today, he is a Realtor with The Capney Collection at Compass, specializing in equestrian estates, horse properties, ranches, and acreage throughout Colorado’s Front Range and surrounding communities.
Unlike agents who simply market properties with acreage, Nathan brings firsthand knowledge of what makes an equestrian property functional. From evaluating barns, arenas, fencing, and pasture configurations to understanding well permits, water rights, zoning, and agricultural infrastructure, he helps clients navigate the complexities of buying and selling properties designed for horses and livestock.
As a horse property owner himself, Nathan understands that purchasing an equestrian property is about much more than finding a home with land. It’s about finding a property that supports the needs of the horses, the goals of the owner, and the lifestyle that comes with it.
Nathan combines his agricultural expertise with modern real estate marketing, digital content creation, and the resources of Compass to connect buyers and sellers within Colorado’s equestrian community. Through educational content and property showcases, he works to make complex equestrian real estate topics approachable while highlighting the unique opportunities that Colorado’s horse property market has to offer.
With a commitment to preserving Colorado’s agricultural heritage and supporting its equestrian community, Nathan aims to become a trusted resource for horse property buyers and sellers while helping expand Compass’s presence in the equestrian real estate market.
Nathan’s mission is to help clients find more than a property—it’s to help them secure a lifestyle, protect their investment, and build a lasting legacy on the land.
